Melanie Houston is responsible for establishing and managing several policy initiatives at the OEC. She is the expert on oil and gas policy, running campaigns to secure the strongest fracking standards in the nation and to hold the industry accountable for air, land and water pollution from oil and gas development. During her time at the OEC, Melanie has briefed congressional and state lawmakers, advised the White House Council on Environmental Quality and testified in front of committees of the Ohio General Assembly. Melanie has been quoted in numerous newspaper, radio and TV outlets including Al Jazeera America and National PBS. Melanie has over a decade of experience advocating for public health protections, local parks and sustainable practices. Melanie graduated with honors from Denison University and earned a Master of Science from The Ohio State University.
