Today’s political and cultural landscape presents unique opportunities for marketing environmental or “green” solutions. Help the OEC identify new opportunities, as well as capitalize on existing opportunities, to find supporters of our mission. By growing our membership and donor base, the OEC will continue to build resources to unleash the power of green for Ohio!
Description of Position
The OEC is seeking a detail-oriented volunteer/intern with great communication skills to assist with our Green Gala and other fundraising efforts. Tasks may include:
- Recruiting and picking up in-kind auction items
- Proofing lists and publications
- Donation tracking
- Production of mailings
The volunteer/intern will have opportunities to be part of a nonprofit organization, attending staff meetings, policy meetings, and getting to know staff. The schedule is flexible with a minimum of 10 hours per week commitment required.
The OEC’s mission is to secure healthy air, land, and water for all who call Ohio home. The OEC is a statewide, nonprofit environmental advocacy organization with a full-time staff of 19, a 20-member Board of Directors, more than 100 group and 3,000 individual members, and thousands of e-activists.
The OEC is Ohio’s leading advocate for fresh air, clean water, and sustainable land use and has a widely respected 45-year history of innovation, pragmatism, and success. Using legislative initiatives, legal action, scientific principles, and statewide partnerships, we secure a healthier environment for Ohio’s families and communities.
