BREAKING: Legal attack on Clean Power Plan rejected

Ohio Environmental Council, January 21, 2016

The Clean Power Plan racked up another legal victory today as the U.S. Court of Appeals – D.C. Circuit rejected an attempt by  fossil fuel companies to halt the first ever regulations on the country’s biggest carbon polluters. This important decision means there will be no delay in implementing The U.S. EPA’s Clean Power Plan.

“We’re happy the US Court of Appeals agreed that this attack on the Clean Power Plan and a healthier future is baseless and without merit. The Clean Power Plan is a common sense plan that guarantees clean air to breath and provides reliable energy to power our homes,” said Brennan Howell, the Ohio Environmental Council’s director of clean energy and climate campaigns.

The Ohio Environmental Council is part of a coalition of national and state environmental organizations defending the Clean Power Plan in court against attacks by fossil fuel funded special  interests.
