Statement From The Ohio Environmental Council On Ferc’s Green Light For The Rover Pipeline To Transport Natural Gas

COMPANY’S PAST TRACK RECORD PAINTS A TROUBLING PICTURE OF WHAT’S TO COME

The following statement can be attributed to Heather Taylor-Miesle, Executive Director of the Ohio Environmental Council:

Throughout the course of the Rover project, the pipeline company has demonstrated a lack of respect for Ohioans and our environment. Allowing the Rover to start transporting natural gas before we’ve seen any willingness to take accountability for past failings is not a good sign for the future. The OEC will be monitoring this situation closely and working with all partners to ensure that Ohioans’ safety and property is protected.
