Cassie was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio where she took full advantage of the area’s park system. Getting out into nature was a hobby that continued to bring her joy as she went to the University of Kentucky to study psychology and U.S. culture & business practices. During her time at UK, she worked as a research assistant for the Family, Adoption, and Diversity Lab and completed a public affairs internship program with Kentucky Educational Television. After graduating, she decided it was time to make environmental advocacy more of a priority in her life. Cassie now supports the Ohio Environmental Council’s communication and development teams with database and systems management, content distribution and management, and analysis. In her free time, she loves to read, visit new coffee shops, and of course be out in nature.
