Ohio Environmental Council, April 11, 2022
Earth Day provides an important reminder that we must take action together to protect and celebrate the planet we call home.
For Earth Day 2022, we invite you to join us as we celebrate the collective power we have when we come together to fight for a healthier environment for all. We are hosting a week of action, so no matter how you want to get involved, there will be a way for you to join the movement!
For this first day of our week of action, we encourage you to take a look at the OEC’s Annual Report. This yearly publication details all the great work that has been done throughout the year by our team, our partners, and our members across Ohio.
There is a wide variety of ways to get involved in advocating for a healthier environment for all Ohioans. This year, the OEC published our updated Advocacy Toolkit. In it, you’ll find a variety of resources and guides for building support for your cause and using your voice to make a difference.
Alongside the toolkit, our policy experts created a series of videos explaining some key parts of successful advocacy, from understanding the legislative process to contacting lawmakers. Check out the first video in the series below! And as always, make sure you are following the OEC on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with our Action Alerts and opportunities to get involved. When we speak up together, our voices have an even stronger impact!
Check out our list of Earth Day volunteer opportunities and activities throughout Ohio – submitted by our members across the state!
With all the work we do to protect our natural spaces, it is vital that we dedicate some time to getting outside and enjoying them, too! Spending time outside can be great for our physical and mental well-being. Today, spend some time going on a walk, visiting a local park or nature preserve, or checking out our list of community events celebrating Earth Day.
