Communications/Event Intern

Supervisor:   Tori Baron

Time Commitment: 10 hours minimum per week

Schedule: 10-12 weeks, spring

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Responsibilities  

  • Help with information gathering about the OEC’s past 50 years. This includes interviewing past board and staff members as well as community partners.
  • Assist in drafting a weekly paragraph for OEC’s weekly email newsletter about the history of the organization.
  • Aid in planning and implementation of events celebrating the OEC’s 50th anniversary

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated and flexible 
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills are highly desirable
  • Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office
