The Ohio Corn and Wheat Growers Association is searching for an Executive Assistant. The successful candidate must possess outstanding organizational skills, be detail oriented, be able to communicate clearly with all stakeholder groups, and be able to directly assist the Executive Director in executing the work of our three boards of directors (The Ohio Corn and Wheat Growers Association, The Ohio Corn Marketing Program, and The Ohio Small Grains Marketing Program).

Position Title: Executive Assistant
Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Ohio Corn and Wheat Growers Association Office—Delaware, Ohio
Salary Range: Commensurate with education and experience
Hours/Week: 40*
Education: College Degree or equivalent
Experience: 5 years experience in administrative support

*These hours will vary according to events, travel, and responsibilities to the association and marketing boards. Occasional weekends and travel (statewide and nationwide) are required.

  • Specific duties will include but not be limited to:
    Assisting Executive Director in coordinating work of three boards of directors

    • Monitoring of board actions and ensuring those actions are executed
      • Act as recording secretary for all board meetings
      • Coordinate details for all board meetings
      • Ad Hoch committee staffing
    • Provide leadership and/or assistance to organizational priorities
  • Lead and/or assist with projects as assigned
  • Coordinate cloud-based (Drop Box) management
  • Event Planning
    • Coordinate public events (i.e. State Fair, Farm Science Review)
    • Coordinate Board activities (i.e. annual retreat, regular meetings, special meetings)
    • Manage travel plans for boards and staff
