This week we are highlighting Joe Albrechta, the OEC’s first full time employee under Executive Director Steve Sedam in 1978. Joe started at the OEC after graduating from Miami University in 1978 and worked mostly on “The Hotline,” a monthly publication that updated OEC’s members on Ohio environmental issues and how they can take action. Additionally, Joe worked on solid waste management and air quality issues, and fought against deforestation in the Wayne National Forest. Today, Joe practices law with Albrechta & Cole Law Firm and has successfully litigated for the protection of 500 acres of land! Thank you, Joe for your dedication to securing a healthy environment for all Ohioans!
