2022 Emerging Leaders Council

Maggie Heiser, January 6, 2022

We are seeking applicants for the third Emerging Leaders Council, an exciting opportunity for professionals aged 18-40 to develop new skills and gain deeper experience in the Central Ohio environmental movement.

This year-long volunteer program will equip you with the skills and training to put your leadership in action for a better environment and a stronger community. Council members will focus on three strategies to create change: service, advocacy, and fundraising. Through skills training, collaborative teamwork, building partnerships, and project planning, this Council will plan and execute three events for other emerging young professionals throughout 2022.

This volunteer program is intended for professionals aged 18-40 of various experience levels. Whether you’re a student looking to get your first experience in the environmental world under your belt or a professional rounding out the skills that will take your career to the next level, this program is for you!

The OEC Emerging Leaders program is committed to building a more powerful conservation movement that is diverse, inclusive, and reflects the communities we live and work in. Applicants from all cultures, races, ethnicities, political affiliations, and all other identities are strongly encouraged to apply.

If you require any assistance or accommodations to complete this application we are happy to help! For questions related to this application or to request accommodations, please contact Spencer Dirrig at sdirrig@theoec.org or Chris Tavenor at ctavenor@theoec.org.
