WILD About Freshwater Mussels

The Ohio Scenic Rivers Program, Division of Wildlife, and Tiffin/Seneca County Izaak Walton League are partnering with Dr. Mike Hoggarth to provide a free workshop on freshwater mussels.  This workshop will be an awesome opportunity for the public, students and professionals to learn more about Northwest Ohio’s freshwater mussels.  The Sandusky State Scenic River has several different types of mussels for us to be proud of.  A 2017 survey and relocation conducted behind Ballville Dam revealed 11,300 mussels of 14 different species!  …
