Dept. of Health must prioritize investigation of lead poisoning reports
“News of the widespread crisis of lead poisoning in Cleveland, OH should alarm us all. Lead poisoning can cause permanent and irreversible health consequences in children including developmental delays, learning disabilities, and lower IQ.
The Ohio Environmental Council calls on the Ohio Department of Health to take immediate steps to ensure that 100 percent of cases of lead poisoning are given a prompt and thorough investigation. Affected families, at the very least, deserve timely responses regarding the health of their children.”
