Chris has always had a desire to help others find their way. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Youngstown State University in 2004, he had a successful 13-year career as a social worker and business development professional in the healthcare industry. Upon completion of his master’s degree in Public Health from Walden University in late 2017, he found himself seeking opportunities to become an agent of social change in his community. Chris co-founded Thrive Mahoning Valley, where he continues to serve as Co-Executive Director.
In addition to his work with Thrive, Chris serves the community through participation on The City of Youngstown’s Food Policy Committee and The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley’s Development and Marketing Committee. He formerly served on the board of Inspiring Minds and the steering committee of The Mahoning Valley Healthy Community Partnership. Perhaps the most important role Chris has is that of father to a super-intelligent 16-year-old boy. In his limited free time, Chris enjoys tinkering with recipes, researching fun facts, traveling, and watching the Las Vegas Raiders.
