VOLUNTEER POSTING | OEC Emerging Leaders Council

This is your opportunity to be a part of the third annual class of the Emerging Leaders Council in 2021!

Being a member of the Emerging Leaders Council is a year-long volunteer commitment. The experience will equip you with the skills and training to put your leadership in action to create a better environment and a stronger community. Council members focus on three strategies to create change: service, fundraising, and advocacy. Through skills training, collaborative teamwork, partnership building, and project planning, this Council will plan and execute three events for other emerging young professionals throughout 2021.

This volunteer program is intended for young professionals aged 18-40 of various experience levels. Whether you’re a student looking to get your first experience in the environmental world under your belt, or a professional rounding out the skills that will take your career to the next level, this program is for you!

Members of the Emerging Leaders Council should expect programming to occur in the evenings, as well as occasional content during the day, usually around the lunch hour. Programming varies throughout the year, though participants should expect 5 – 10 hours of program obligations per month.
