Establishing the Clean Ohio Fund

In 2000, the OEC worked with the State to establish the Clean Ohio Fund, which has led to the creation of $400 million in state funding to preserve green space and farmland, build hiking trails, and redevelop brownfields (or damaged land where industrial operations once took place). Since then, more than 380 brownfield sites have been revitalized, equaling 3,800 acres of land.
