Join us for Advocacy 101 where we’ll dive into the lawmaking process here in Ohio. We’ll share the basics on following legislation at the Statehouse, so you can feel empowered to get involved on the issues that are important to you.

The legislation passed at the Statehouse can be hard to decipher. Understanding the laws that make up the Ohio Code is a critical part of advocating for our environment. Join us to learn more about how the Ohio Code works and how to read proposed legislation from the Statehouse. Together we’ll cut through the jargon and legalese to dig into what makes up the laws in our state.

There are tons of ways cities and counties can take action to protect our environment. Getting involved right in your backyard can be a good way to help spur action. We’ll take a look at how you can use public meetings, letters to the editor, and other tactics to get your community to make positive changes for our environment. Join us to learn more about how the decisions our cities and counties make impact our climate, our parks, and our waterways.
