Ohio NPDES General Permit Comments

The Ohio EPA proposed a fast-track permit for data centers to discharge wastewater to Ohio’s streams and waterway (The Wastewater and Stormwater Discharge). The OEC was one of many organizations speaking out against this permit, joining an overwhelming number of members of the public. This permit raises concerns about water quality and proper oversight; the proposal is still under review with public and legislative debate ongoing.
