Southwest Ohio is a region known for its rich history, diverse landscapes, and vibrant cities — including the city of Cincinnati located on the Ohio River.
OEC’s work in Southwest Ohio is focused on advancing local policies and projects to protect the environment and health of communities by centering community voices and building meaningful relationships with elected leaders and community partners — especially in Greater Cincinnati. Our work to meaningfully engage residents in the 2023 Green Cincinnati Plan update is resulting in tangible action to address historic environmental injustices and advance climate resilience. Additionally, our work has supported healthier communities throughout Southwestern Ohio as we’ve worked with local elected officials and advocates to center equity in decision making on issues including building decarbonization, mobility, expanding access to green space, and effectively managing stormwater.
Together, we are working for a healthier, more equitable future for all who call the region home.
