Home to our state capital and natural treasures like Big and Little Darby Creeks, Central Ohio is one of the most influential and rapidly growing regions in the state.
The Ohio Environmental Council has deep roots in Central Ohio — we have had a continuous presence in this region of the state throughout our 55-year history. In addition to our work at the Statehouse, we’ve supported local action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, expand renewable energy generation, enhance greenspace and tree canopy, protect water quality, and more. And as Central Ohio continues to grow, balancing development with environmental stewardship is critical to ensuring a healthy ecosystem for current and future generations.
Together, we are working for a healthier, more equitable future for all who call the region home.
