Action Briefings: What’s Up With the Wayne National Forest? 

Join the Ohio Environmental Council for our next Action Briefing, a virtual event for OEC members to learn about the policies we are advancing and the actions you can take to make a difference.   

As the Bureau of Land Management recently announced that companies can bid on parcels of the Wayne National Forest for oil and gas extraction starting September 15^th, now is the time for us to build a shared understanding of what this means for the future of the WNF, the nearby communities, public lands across Ohio.  

Join and learn from OEC’s Senior Attorney for Land and Water, Nathan Johnson. You will come away with a deeper understanding of: 

• The history of litigation against unlawful fracking in the Wayne National Forest, and what legal proceedings lead to this point.
