OEC Submits Amicus Brief in support of Emerson Creek Wind Farm Supreme Court Case

Columbus, OH — The Ohio Environmental Council (OEC) has filed an amicus brief at the Ohio Supreme Court in support of the Emerson Creek Wind Farm that would be located in Erie and Huron Counties. Utility-scale wind farms are an excellent source of renewable energy for the state of Ohio, and the proposed project will support both the local economy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The OEC’s brief supported the positions of the Ohio Power Siting Board and the applying company, Firelands Wind, LLC. We argued that the Ohio Power Siting Board lawfully and reasonably granted the project a Certificate of Public Interest, Convenience, and Necessity.
